Dr. Joseph Lin’s medical education and training accomplishments are as diverse as they are distinguished. He obtained his medical degree from one of the top medical schools in the nation, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the Columbia University/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Yale University. He then moved to Southern California when he was chosen for the UCLA orbital-facial plastic cosmetic and reconstructive surgery fellowship, one of the top facial plastic fellowships in the country. During that time, he also honed his facial cosmetic surgery skills at several top Beverly Hills private practices.
He has been recognized by many of his peers for his achievements and has been awarded the Constance Campbell Prize (Northwestern University’s Top Undergraduate Honors Thesis in Biology), the Connecticut American College of Surgeons 1st Prize Specialty Surgery Research Paper during his residency at Yale, and voted by his medical school class as “Most Likely To Be Your Personal Physician.”
He has a teaching appointment and hospital privileges at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute and at the UCLA-Ronald Reagan and UCLA-Harbor Hospitals. Currently, he publishes and speaks regularly on facial fillers, eyelid/eye-plastic and facial surgery techniques.
Dr. Lin is a member of American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology and the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He regularly participates in community health care events including providing care at Los Angeles Care Harbor.
